Does anyone here have little chores in life that you dread doing? Its weird , generally im not a lazy person but theres certain things I avoid and avoid, till i HAVE to do them,

For me its , having a shave, once every few days til it starts getting out of hand, my job doesn't really need that clean shaven, shirt look thank god.

Another one is putting petrol in the car, i hate it, Ill avoid it at night, Ill avoid it in the morning and keep driving till Im fooked!! I always fill it to the top too when I finally get around to it.

And finally, returning a dvd, I just cant.

    Hmmm...

1 - Doing any kind of college work

    2 - hate shaving as well! :o

3 - Taking the bus! An awful exercise whose only real aim is to make me realise how poor I am.

Returning libary books, shaving ,washing up ,putting bins out ,filling in forms ( specialy if the same form has being sent out 3 times already ) ,standing in line at bank to pay bills , feeding the dog ( wish he would learn to open tins himself :) ) having to stock the fridge up ...again and many more .

But the good news is I always feel better when they are all completed

Shaving. It made me feel like a man when I had to do it every month at 13. Now, not so good

    You have it rough!

I'm sure those people who have to look after relatives with special needs would agree.

Dealing with customers when they don't think they should have to pay for the hard work that was done.

I dread waking up and realising, yet again, that Aine Chambers is not beside me. :( Just another "dream".

Changing my bed sheets is just the worst. I put it off as long as possible, then decided randomly one morning I better just do it so I strip the bed and forget about it until that night when I come home absolutely wrecked (and possibly drunk) and have to do it then in the middle of the night. Yuck.

Also flossing my teeth. Hate it but it has to be done!!

Taking clothes out of the washing machine. I dont mind putting them in there or taking them off the rads but I hate having to take them out of the machine and put them onto the radiators.

    Taking a dump.

Had a big feed of Pistachio nuts and the fcukers have me bound tight.

Was straining on the pot at 1900 and had to abandon the operation as I was getting sweated up and distressed.

Have that full bloated feeling so took on a litre of Tropicana OJ to help things along.

I dread tomorrow mornings effort if the OJ doesn't loosen me up.

Have a Kahle's Suppository on stand by but won't use unless absolutely necessary

    :o:mad::mad:

    Shaving

Hate shaving with a passion. With my last job I had to shave every day and be presentable, however in my current job I can come in as scuffy as I like which means I dont have to shave as much :D

I heard today that just a thumb swipe of vicks vaporub will loosen everything pretty much instantly.

Oh you have to eat it though.

I used to be in the same camp as yourself but I've just moved over to DE shaving and I love shaving now. Have a look on youtube for Mantic59 and his shaving tutorials or check out this thread http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055448697

Also, the thing I hate doing most is ironing

Tying shoes, they are usually always tied when you eventually manage to find them, most of the time when you try to open them they get into a bloody knot, then it's hard to get the foot in and you have to loosen the laces and then finally you have to tie the things again.

Shaving. I usually end up losing a half a pint of blood and then burn the head off myself with after shave/sudocream to stop the blood flow. Thats followed by the rash and a red throat/neck that resembles a baboons arse.

I can shave in the morning and need another by 6 that evening. I was at a family wedding last year and got told off by the brides mother for not shaving even though I had. Think my real father was a Yeti.....

Making porridge, getting out of bed, getting two buses to college, going to work, washing clothes, shaving my legs, changing bed sheets. STRESS!

    brushing my teeth. unfortunately necessary
also shaving-which i resolve by just not shaving.its not imperative i do it.
also taking a ****, especially if i feel its gonna be a slurry fest. again necessary. although somewhat unfortunate
sometimes even cracking one off can be a labouring, yet ultimately necessary task.

standing in queues, really annoying, especially if cashier or persons in front of ya are slow as anything, try to get everything done in one big shop so dont have to do any shopping for a while then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,268 ✭✭✭Zapho

Pairing socks. They're all just so bloody similar, but not quite the same. And I always end up losing one. Doesn't matter if only 4 socks go into the machine, when I take the clothes out, one will be missing.

Oh and I also agree with anplaya. Queues really piss me off.....

Taking out my contact lenses at night and cleaning them. It's such a small chore but I always dread it for some reason!

Also, putting on socks in the morning. I'm too tired at that time to be jumping around on one foot.

Grrr I hate that too... what's worse is getting on the train in the morning and they elbow and push you out of the way when there's no fcuking seats anyway!

Has to be ironing for me, god I hate ironing and I always seem to cock it up.

Another is queuing, cant stand that feeling of standing in a slow moving Q at the behest of the others in front of you. The worst is many French supermarkets- they don't seem to do express Q's so you might only have 2 items but have to wait 20 minutes to pay for them:mad:

Checking my rear view mirrors when driving. What if there's someone in the back seat waiting to kill me.. I could get a fright and crash the car.

I solved that problem years ago. Once a year when I am back in Ireland I go into Penny's and buy enough socks to go for about 3 or 4 straight weeks. I can't remember if there are 3 or 5 pair in each bundle. Quality socks and good value, less than €30 I think for the lot. Then I discard the olds ones. Never have to worry about running short or odd ones missing.

I just hate that moment when you step out of the shower and it's freezing... it almost puts me off showers.

Well, it's already been mentioned, but just leaving bed is hell for me.
