I'm moving house soon so i'll be losing my lock up. This means most of the classics are looking for a new home...

I'm open to reasonable offers on the following cars:

1977 Mercedes 280 SE (W116 model, 120k, taxed, new tyres, new exhaust, vgc, orignal alloys, leather)

1983 Mercedes 230 E (W123 model, 47k genuine documented miles, FMBSH, very very very good condition, prob one of the best in the country)

1965 Mercedes 200 D (W110 model, fintail, rolling restauration, taxed 02/10, driving well, LHD)

1976 Citroën 2CV Van (yellow, ex garda vehicle, taxed, restored, one of the only RHD ones around)

1988 Citroën 2CV (blue, new roof, many new parts, engine rebuild)

    Pvt me for details.

No pix of the fintail yet.. Will have to take some, but it won't be till the weekend i'd say. It's better to do these things in day light :D:D

The car is looking pretty rough though. The paint has flakes off.... But don't be deceived by the looks, she's running like a dream. I use here several times a week. She's registered on a 65-C plate and she's taxed till 02/10. I'd class her as an ideal rolling restauration project. Bit of welding, a paint job, tidy up the interior and off you go.

No surprise there, the 230E is sold. I took a deposit on it yesterday and she will be collected on saturday.

    The rest is still there.

Don't think she is. Think she's from southern France originally. Never seen it, but spoke to Dave about it some time ago.

Not just french cars.. All cars sold on the french market had a certain number of "chevaux fiscaux" (fiscal bhp). They base their registration fee (carte grise) on it, as well as the road tax untill it was abolished in 2000.

Belgium does the same, although the way of calculation the CV is not the same.
