My girlfriend is giving it all this (:pac::pac::pac:) about getting a slendatone. Basically, she wants it to tone up.

I'm trying to tell her that she should just do some basic exercise and she'll get results - she's a size 6 with little or not bodyfat. I'm also telling her that she might as well get some magic beans off ebay. Am I right, or do they actually work?

You're right, she's completely wrong. make sure she knows this :D We don't get this opportunity often, guys!

Tell her read the Fitness sticky here. She'll look better for lifting heavy weights, fact.

You should ask Roper how to approach this situation in his "in the well" thread, i've heard he's something of an expert in these situations (see his "how do I make my girlfriend shut up about creatine" treatise ).

They work great! I eat my beans with chicken & lots of milk and got quite "toned" along with lifting big weights.

Those EMS machines do their job, i.e. keeping comatose & bed ridden patients muscles from wasting away. The girls on the box covers got "toned" lifting heavy weights, certainly not from electrocuting themselves.

Ah women, bless. Suckers most of em for a gimmick with shiny glossy pictures on the front.

Sit tight til Roper gets here.

Right, so three posts in and my suspicion that they are pyure ****e to the living is correct!

I know that obviously they are useless. I just wanted that confirmed before she whips out the New England Journal of Medicine to show me that they are acutally the best thing since olympic lifting!
