    Hi guys,

What just wondering how I get a specific number plate for an old car. For example if i wanted to get the number plate 81 D 1000.
Thanks for any advice or feedback.
    Liam

For an old car it may be possibly, i'm not sure, I know with 09 cars the way it works is you reserve your number say 09-D-12000 and then when the cars registered hits 12000 you get the plate and can display it but I am not sure if you can do this same thing on older cars. By the way the fee for a plate is €1000 notes so unless she's a Delorean or something I would drink the money instead :D

    Good information here.

Just be aware that the price has increased from €315 to €1,000 since this thread was done.

    Make ROVER Model METRO
    Description Not Available
    Fuel Type PETROL

    It's taken.:D

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    A bloody Metro, lol.

The cost of the number plate must be worth more than the Metro (assuming it is not a 6R4).

6R4 is newer than 1981... maybe they didn't reserve the big round numbers on all pre 87 years?

That said, for someone to bother importing a Metro they clearly have a purpose for it.
