Just having a look about for the best deals on the upcoming Nintendo DSi.
Figured Play.com would be a good place to start.

So, they are charging £149.99, with free delivery and a free accessory pack.
Not bad I think to myself, that works out at about €163 or so, I'll get one of them.
Then I see the euro price button at the top right of the page and click it......

The same DSi, with free delivery and accessory pack has now changed price, Oh yes, and the new price is.... €194.99!!!

    That's a bit steep, I says.
I try to order the £149.99 one and am told that this is unavailable to Ireland and we have to order the euro priced one instead.

What a ripoff, even taking into account the extra shipping it's still way over the odds.

And I thought Play.com were one of the good guys.

Play are notorious for their Pound to Euro exchange rate they improved it slightly recently but its still a a (fair) bit off. A lot of people over on Bargain Alerts have boycotted them until they fix the exchange rate.

They won't ship electronics here either.

yea I pretty much gave up on play once they started to force you to pay in Euro's. It removes most of the bargain aspect. I will occasionally buy a cut price DVD but nothing more. Plus you'll be waiting weeks whereas they used to have a very good turnaround time on orders.
