Up in Salthill today, taking pictures of swans, and then I noticed this. Laughed a bit, then I looked and saw the tax was out since the 03-07, and no sign of nct. Then I thought, how did it last so long? Anywho. I took a pic, and went back to taking pictures of swans:

    IMG_1985.jpg

Then, I noticed some one running past me. They ran to the back of the car first, I watched as they got into the drivers seat. Of course, I took pics.

    IMG_2002.jpg

Lots of turning over, and the car wasn't starting. Lots of us began to laugh, pity there were lots of photographers taking pictures of swans at the time:P.
    IMG_2004.jpg

Then she started. Lots of wheel spinning and angry, spluttering revving, and it reverses back a bit, and frees itself!! You can see they very confused swan laughing in this pic. You can also see the water pouring out the door.
    IMG_2005.jpg

As he parked, he really revved the ****e of out it. He stared over at me laughing, I couldn't help but laugh!
    IMG_2007.jpg
A cheery wave, and off he drives home! LOL
    IMG_2010.jpg

Ah, the times to have a camera with you.

Some people really don't think when they leave their car somewhere,

Hopefully nothing leaked out of the car and into the water around them swans though.

Reminds me of the time me and my dad were down by the river in Corrib Village about 10 years ago and we heard this "ahhhhhhhhhhh!" getting louder and louder. Turned around and saw this girl hurtling down the hill on her bike and went straight into the river!
I don't think I ever laughed so much, poor girl was up to her knees in water and when we asked her if she was alright, she couldn't speak as she had the breath knocked out of her, she just started grunting and dragged her bike out and started walking back up the hill. :pac:

Back tax surely would be worth more than the car itself, especially in its current condition.

I didn't really report it. I wouldn't even know how. I just noticed that the OP tried to blur the reg in the 2nd photo, but then forgot in one of the latter pics - so I was just letting him know I saw it...

And I'm a woman FTW. Wrong post much?

Limerick Man, when did this swan obsession start? Was it their big feathery arses? Were you on ducks before that? ;)

    LOl, how'd you know it's a 450?

I've a lend of two lenses atm, need to get used to bringing them with me, and the tripod lol.

Every pic has "exif" info which is stored with it. It just says what camera took the pic, mode, settings like iso exposure etc.
I got a 40d a few months back- just trying to save some spare cash to buy a good lens for it!

(Its Claddagh by the way, not Salthill ;) )

Thanks! I was going to take a picture of the sign, but I got too caught up in taking pictures of the car. When the lad came along I backed off a bit to take pics without him seeing, but he blatently stared me into the face (camera) a few times:P

Edit: Post of the day! woo i've accomplished something in life :D :pac:
