Im currently playing on a cheapish right-handed guitar that has been strung left-handed and have been for a few years. The action on the strings are a pain in the ass (low E too high, high E so low it rings) and because the bridge hasn't been changed it doesn't stay in tune too well.

I'm probably classed as imtermediate, never had lessons but play to a decent standard

I'm looking for a new guitar that will hopefully help me kick on my playing a bit more. I understand that you should never buy before you try but there inlies the problem. I have been in most of the music shops in Dublin and the selection of left-handed guitars within my budget is crap.

I'm looking for something that has a nice warm tone that has a cutaway. It doent have to be semi-acountic but most of what I can see online is so it wouldn't really be a negative.

Theres a few I like the look of on thoman but I can' find any reviews and don't know what to pick.

If anyone can point me in the direction of the best bang for my buck lefty within my pricerange I'd be thankful

Dunno about lefties but best value for money I've ever seen was a Takamine GS330S.

I've had one for 4 years now and its my baby, sound keeps getting better and better as does the feel.

I'd say if you do a search on this forum, you'll find plenty of recommendations - there have been lots of similar therads to yours in the last couple of years.

Takamine is certainly a good suggestion in that price range
