Can I post in my Provisional Licence Application?

Sorry if this was already covered. Couldn't find it any of the stickies.

I need to renew my provisional licence but don't have the time to get into the city to get to the Taxation Office.

Can I post it in? There is no information about this on the form, and I couldn't find anything about it on rsa.ie?

I live in Dublin County, what taxation office should I send it to? Do I need to specify anything on the letter like that its for the Licensing dept. or something?

Also, one further question, I gave in an eyesight report with my last provisional licence, do I need to send in another one with this application?

    All advice and help appreciated.

    Yes, you can post it.

If it's a good idea is a whole other question.

You don't need new eye sight report.

Why wouldn't it be a good idea? Does it generally take a lot longer when you post it?

Your nearest Motor Tax Office (and mine) would be Ballymun where they are quite efficient and worth calling to in person.

Otherwise Queen Street, Dublin 7 is the main MTO for posting applications.

Just the risk of posting important documents through the post.

There is more than enough in the application to carry out some identity theft.
