Editing footage from a military training assault on an empty hotel, and want to put military style writing on screen to explain throughout every now and then.

Green writing that appears typed up or letters appear cycling and then lock into place, something along those lines. (like transformers subtitles, or along those lines.)

Does anyone know how i can do this with final cut pro or something else, presume after effects/photoshop will be involved. Any links to tutorials?

    Appreciate it.

You would be able to do this using LiveType (which is included with Final Cut) and just import it into your FCP timeline.

There are plenty of tutorials on You Tube and you may find some more on the apple website.....just search for "livetype"
