So i'm totally new to online shopping, found some tshirts on thinkgeek.com that i liked, and bought them.
Now,i generally where my clothes a tiny bit baggy,i wear tshirts as xl,and its purrfect.
Now,my friends have said that american xl,which i've ordered, will be much bigger than the usual xl i buy here.

Is this true? Will i have to change my order asap before i get three tents in the post?

normally i found in america that

    their small = our medium
    their medium = our large
    their large = our XL.
    etc etc.

the thing about online and i don't know if thinkgeek do it is that their t-shirts come from different manufacturers you may get fruit of the loom/gilden/american apparrel which means you are screwed as all manufacturers have a different opinon on what a S,M,L ,XL is.

on thinkgeek they have a sizing chart http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/unisex/japanese/94b1/sizing/

go grab your favourite t-shirt and whip out the measuring tape and pick the closest one, if you're inbetween go for the next biggest.

and Shoe sizes for the US, UK and Europe (along with sizes for mens' clothing) .

I think its a lot to do with the brand aswell, for example I was in NY recently and all Adidas original, Puma, Converse and Gap clothes were the exact same sizes as here.
