    Anyone? the fact i'm asking is because i have a background in Mechanical Engineering and wonder whether the maths covered would be sufficient.

    Might be worth asking either on the DIT forum or on the Maths (or even the Physics/Chemistry) forum, they'd probably be able to sort you out.

    I think you might find these subjects really difficult.
    Have you done courses in quantum mechanics and relativity or classical mechanics and geometry.

    I'd say you'd be alright for the other options.

    Quantum mechanics would very important though.
    • General Relativity and Cosmology
    • High Energy Particle Physics
    • Topology and Geometry in Theoretical Physics
