I assume you've checked your tyres? A leaky exhaust can sound 'hissy', or sometimes just a bit louder than before. Bring it to Fast Fit or the like?

If your exhaust has gone then it would sound like a tractor so to speak. It would seem a lot louder. Taking it to a quick fit is not the best option as most will say you need a new exhaust when you don't to get the business. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a very loud car.

pumped up the tyers yesterday. i,m, it does make a hissing type sound. just a sort of person that thinks if their some thing wrong with the car i,ll get looked at. i like to look after it. i know what you mean by it sounding like a tractor had a hole in it 2 years ago.

Your the same as my mother she worries about small things. Lol. Yeah it is always best to look after motors then they will look after you. If its hissing then it could be your Tyre but you would notice the Tyre going down. Make a note of what pressure you have put in the tyre then check it again in a couple of days then you will know weather it is the tyre. If this hissing is a big bother and noticeable then get it checked out if not leave it!! Be grand unless you had the tractor noise. Lol.

Believe me if you can hear the tyre hissing, you won't have to wait a couple of days!!
