Don't fool yourself, publisher is not good, and you can spot a publisher job a mile away!

I know this is would certainly not be the first software choice for a designer, but in my case seriously the end result looks very good.
Screenshots have been posted on different BMW forums and the feedback was 100% positive. And BMW enthusiasts are hard to convince trust me.

And the way I developed it, using either Quark or anything else would have had the same results since I am using tables and graphs from Excel.

Now Quark is probably better suited for many other type of jobs.

But Publisher has done the job very well so far for me.

Mick, if you're happy with the result then fair play. But the page layout specialists programs like Indesign and Quark are better at this than Publisher.

And graphs from excel are shoddy at best. For these you should have used Illustrator in fairness. As you can get much sharper images and a more professional look.

But all in all if you're happy using Publisher then so-be-it ;)

You've gotten the advice from the pros and you've made an informed decision. Best of luck, Mick.

Got the book finally printed and I am very happy with the way the job and quality has been handled by the printing company, ePrint in Coolmine.

Pricing wise as well they really charged me a very resonable fee per book for such a little quantity (50).

Paper quality is very good too, I wanted the book to look good and last long.

Some pictures. Cheers for all your comments and help guys.

Maybe we can help. It is not the easiest of tasks, but we have done it before. Take a look at our websites www.paintbox.ie and www.printit.ie. If you are interested, you could ring 01 4649898 and ask for Sharon.

    Good luck if not.

    Sharon.
