    DIT Fashion Show Vicar Street, Wednesday 11th March
    The DIT Toyota Fashion Show, now in its sixth year, takes place next Wednesday 11th March in Dublin’s Vicar Street. A line up of eight dramatic short listed student designs which reflect the theme of “Tribal Expression – the urban theory”.

    Tickets cost 20 euro for students and 25 euro for non students and are available from DIT’s student union shop and from www.tickets.ie. Proceeds from the show will go to Teenline Ireland. The DIT students aim to raise 10,000 euro this year for Teenline.

    The eight shortlisted designs for the DIT Toyota Fashion Show, who will compete at the final on Wednesday 11th March 2009 in Vicar Street, are:
    1. Suzanne Acton of NCAD with her design “Inside Out”
    2. Lynn Allen, NCAD with “When You Won’t Kiss Me”
    3. Katriona Flynn, NCAD with “The Urban Tribe”
    4. Aoife Gallagher, NCAD with “Structural Transparency”
    5. Clare Geraghty, NCAD with “Fractions”
    6. Jean Melia, Grafton Academy with “Fashion Design”
    7. Carla Murphy, NCAD with “Unlock the City” modelled by Aisling Barry.
    8. Joanne Power, NCAD with “Cityscrapes to Urbanshapes”
    The overall winner of the DIT Toyota Fashion Show will receive a cash prize of 2,500 euro and a Waterford Crystal trophy.
