Letting Agency, Bargaining

I am looking to rent an apartment in Dublin. However, they are slightly more expensive than I am willing to pay. Most are around the 600 euro mark, I am looking more towards 500.

Do letting agencies ever consider bargaining?

Ask them will the landlord accept the €500? Most will be allowed some leeway, but may need approval for a bigger reduction.
