    hi guys
I was wondering would anyone be able to give me a few tips as to increase my training methods.I go forestry running 3-4 times a week and each run takes me 28-30 minutes.I have a course there that i run but cant ever really seem to beat 28 minutes.I push myself hard but would have expected to have a better time now as iv been running it for the last 2 months.I live a good healthy lifestyle.

I'd suggest running at a much more comfortable pace for 2 of those runs. Once a week run for a bit longer, maybe 45 minutes, at a comfortable pace. Then one day per week, jog for a few minutes to warm-up, run very hard for about 15 minutes, then jog for a few more minutes to cool-down.

Then after about six weeks do your time-trial again and see if you break 28 minutes.

Yes, like cfitz I'd advise go longer and easier once or twice a week. Build up your aerobic capacity which in turn will allow you to maintain speed longer over the shorter distances.
