Dell outlet store, good idea to buy?

    Is it a good idea to buy from the dell outlet store? Good value? Bad quality? Did anyone get a bad machine?

    got a laptop with a few dead pixels, got another laptop that was fine

    both like new otherwise

    Bought around 6 desktops over the last year. No problems with any of them. If you have the time and in no hurry you can pick up a bargain. Look out for discounts which they run regularly enough. Best one I got was a quad core with blue ray and 4GB memory that I picked up for €500 inc vat and delivery. I priced it on their main site for €900+.

    When buying a Dell would always buy outlet - it's cheaper for the same product - why wouldn't you?

    Got my studio XPS a while back and its great, - quick delivery, great price (40-50% off normal price) saved like €800! Brand new in box, top of the range!!!
