The free track on Bebo's iTunes Saturday is Empire of the Sun's 'Walking on a dream'

I think it's great - ploughing, as it does, the same furrow as MGMT.

Neither bands could have what would be considered 'good' sound .... however tuning and timing are good.

But in these instances it doesn't really matter.

Why is that?

- we're not all Mac users here, or want third party software installed on our PC based systems ;P

My OP does state it's through iTunes.

The vocals are perfectly well recorded (it's not trivial to get them that clear and nice), and the rest of the sounds are "cool"-they work artistically- so it is well engineered, IMHO. This is based on the purchased download- maybe there's different compression on that free one? The track is limited to distortion, just like MGMT, but that was an artistic choice...

Yes... i saw that, but URL looked normal that anybody might be able to click... why didn't you link direct with the itunes links and not the trade doubler link... wtf is that all about?

And can you supply a link that non Mac users can hear this at?

That was just the Bebo link. The track is free through iTunes as a download.
I'm unaware of it being available elsewhere.

depends on what kind of sound youre going for maybe, it does matter but not as much as the other aspects
