Freeware backing drums

    I'm getting back into the bass and am finding the rhythm hard going. Does anyone here know a freeware program that will give you drums in the background?

    It's not drums but you could try Metronome Online. As the name suggests it's an online metronome.

    You could also try Hydrogen. It's a freeware drum machine aimed primarily at Linux but there is a Windows version.

    or you could try a demo version of guitarpro. you can then download backing and just mute the bass channel for pretty much most songs.

    That's a good point. I should have added in my post that I often use Guitar Pro to create my own backing tracks. The quality isn't brilliant but I find it a lot more interesting to listen to than a metronome and it's also a lot more flexible when it comes to adding in rolls and fills.

    It's not freeware but for the amount of use I've gotten out of it it's well worth €60.
