I have to wash it every other day
    Its dyed brown
I heard good things about John Frieda's brunette hampoo, but not sure?
I want to cure the greasyness and keep the brown looking good

I don't find that shampoo very good for greasy hair.

OP i can really sympathise with you - like you im a brunette that has to wash their hair everyday. I have been using Tony & Guy shampoo and conditioner for brunettes for about a week and i have gotten so many comments on how well it looks and it has incredible shine. I also use the protein spray - 3 for 2 on Tony & Guy at the mo in Boots.;)

Alberto Balsam Juicy Green Apple shampoo and conditioner should do the job I'd say.
