Interference on analogue UHF channels?

Getting this interference on all analogue UHF channels (see picture). It's been occurring on and off for the last week or so. I'm in an apartment with a communal satellite/UHF aerial (one aerial for Divis, one for Clermont carn) TV system. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Faulty street lamp?
Neighbour doing a bit of welding on the side?
Something in your apartment (or a neighbour) transmitting?

I recommend you get a battery portable TV and wander around with it. If you can determine where the interference is strongest/weakest you may be able to locate the source. A Cheapie like this eBay item can usually be had for about 20 Euros. Only B&W but adequate.

Check if others on the communal system also have the problem.
Are all channels affected or just ones from 'Divis'?
It could be a problem with your own equipment. Remove satellite receiver to see if interference is related to that?
Make sure you have no problem with intermittent contact of cable 'outer' to plugs on your own co-ax cables

Sam Radford: interference is occuring during the day as well. There's a street lamp outside, but it was off. Unsure about the neighbours! Nothing transmitting in apt itself.

Antenna: will check with the neighbours. Its happening on all channels. Worse on Divis. You can see it more faintly on RTE's/TV3. Plugged out satellite receiver. No difference.

Same interference on second tv in bedroom.

Interference continuing (see picture). Most maddening thing is that is comes and goes. Tonight was worst ever. Made pictures (especially Divis) unwatchable. Pictures from Clermont Carn being stronger, did not suffer as much, but the interference could be seen on them too. Plugged out everything (including fridge!), but it made no difference.

Connected a UHF aerial directly to the TV when the interference was at its worst. Only RTE/TV3 pictures then available. They were snowy, but crucially, free of the interference.

Is there a fault with the shared system itself I wonder? Yet to check with neighbours on their reception.
