i'm no fan but fair play to him. the guy is a lunatic

36 hours! Probably without being funny once. He'll have to repeat a few traveller and handicap jokes. For that style of comedy Roy 'Chubby' Brown would be funnier.

Jesus, there must be a recession on. Haven't seen a special 'unemployed' ticket price since the 80s.

Fair play to him!! I think he gets too much stick from the L.L.L. - "Late Late Lovers" anyway. Comedians are almost meant to bring the 'shock factor' to their sets. It is what sets them apart from the million other comedians on the circuit. Lets be honest, in a comedians mind their motto is "if its funny....im saying it!" and i don't think that should change.

Bill Hicks was one one of the most controversial stand-ups of all time and the best. Richard Pryor.....same......George Carlin....same...Ricky Gervais (love him/Hate him...whatever) is controversial and is brilliant in my opinion.

    Just my opinion anyway.

I'd love to see Stewart Lee do 36 hours of comedy...could he tell one joke for the entire 36 hours?!

I can't believe you're even considering Tommy Tiernan in the same thread as those Comedians. All the above are fantastic but i'm afraid Tommy Tiernan is utterly woefull !!! Mind you he was brilliant in the late 90's early 00's. He ran out of ideas in 2002 lol

    36 hours ??

That's about an eight ball's worth of comedy.

    Anyone at this?

    How did it go?

    anyone at this?

yup i was there yest for the six pm show, so he was on bout 27 hours i think at that stage. it was actually pretty gud, he was clearly exhausted, but he managed to come up with sum funny stuff. it was nice to see him a bit more mellow rather than shoutin and raving like a mad man on the stage.

nice intimate venue, bit of interaction with the audience, all in all, a pretty good experience :)

He got a 5 minute break every hour for toilet and snacks.

still an incredible task, and he did 36 hours of comedy (not including breaks) so that has to be commended)
