    Cheers Michael,

    Interesting to see they put the Superb in with the 5 Series / E-Class segment. Sure Skoda are delighted with that!

    Unsurprisingly the H SUV & H3 sections have been completely decimated.

    thing that eally sticks out for me there is that the focus is 500 odd cars ahead of the golf, despite a new golf model coming out.
    i wonder where focus got its numbers, new garda cars ect?

    The Superb belongs in the class with the Passat etc, and the Octavia is also in a class above where it should be, should be in with the Jetta.
    And why are the Suzuki SX4 and the Fiat Sedici in different sections when they're essentially the same vehicle, co-developed by the two companies?
    Also, how could VW have sold any Sharans at all? Aren't they discontinued?

    more than likely hire cars..... the hire car companies buy a lot of stock at beging of year.... and the focus is a big favourite due to the huge discounts ford gives them off the manufacture to dealer price (not the RRp)...

    not all cars are sold as buybacks.....so the dealers propably won't be under any commitments to buy them back..

    The Hire drive figures so far are:

    Nissan 487
    Fiat 172
    Hyundai 142
    Opel 118
    VW 88
    Kia 50
    Ford 49
    Alfa 29
    Audi 22

    and then some smaller numbers. 766 hire cars reg'ed to end Feb.

    Unsuprisingly Fiats hire drive regs are 41% of their car regs while Alfa's are 38% of their registrations! Hyundai and Nissan both have over 20% of their reg's on H/drive.

    This month will be the test for H/drive regs as it's the main month for registering 3 and 6 month vehicles. I doubt any dealer will be interested in having a batch of hire cars returning in July or October. Its hard to value a car 6 days ahead let alone 6 months!

    Thanks a lot MichaelD. Great to get these figures. I find it very surprising that Nissan Qashqai (presume it includes the +2) are so high up on the list with 1276. That is almost as many as the Focus which covers Saloon, Hatch & Estate.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

    Toyota Lancruiser 105 -> 3
    Range Rover 408 -> 15
    Audi Q7 142 -> 9
    BMW X5 274 -> 23
    Lexus RX 123 -> 8
    Mercedes ML 96 ->2

    Says it all really. Death of a fad.

    Ode To The Motorist

    “And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    Where are you getting Boxsters from? One is a Cayenne the other a Cayman.
