These guitars are by the guy who originally started 'Dean Guitars' and was the guy who according to wikapedia invented the 'Flying V'.

Anyway, what do ye think of em? I dunno what to think to be honest, on the les paul looking one I think that piece where the toggle switch is looks horrid.

    Ehhh I don't think so...

it was designed by Ted McCarty in '57-ish as part of a "modernist" trio which comprised of the Flying V, Explorer and the Moderne. :pac:

I knew someone would prove me wrong. Sorry thats what i took from this:

"In terms of guitars, Dean Guitars are relatively new on the scene. They had their beginnings in 1976 when the teenaged Dean Zelinsky decided he wanted to create a different kind of guitar design than what was present in the market. Dean started to design guitars that would defy traditional shapes and create good tone and playability for the guitarist. His first guitars were v-shaped and pointed which was both a function of design and helped enhance the guitars tone."

I took it up wrong obviously.

    "His first guitars were V-shaped"

That doesn't mean that he designed the first V-shaped guitars.

    Yes Dord,

I realise that now. No need to rub salt into my fresh wounds:o

What do you think of the guitars?

*rubs vinegar in with the salt too and grabs some chips to go along with it*

They look ok I guess, some of the designs are a bit odd. Not too mad on the V, but I like his new headstocks. BTW, I posted about this here last year when it was first announced. :D
