Anybody know when exam timetables are released?

I know they run from may 18th - june 12th and I wanna book a holiday for june 12th.. but a little worried I might have an exam on this day, but gotta book it soon.

Its classicial civilization, anyone remember when those exams usually are or does it change from year to year?

    thanks!

Can change year to year. But it's unlikely that it'll be on the last day.

When were the timetables released last year? If I remember correctly it was a good bit earlier than usual, so they might be out soon.

April some time IIRC.. cant remember exactly

edit: Just check the email archives, we were sent an email with a link on the 30th of March last year

Means they should be out in about a month, if all goes according to plan.

Edit: You may be able to estimate the date of your last exam by looking at the dates, and more specifically the days, that the exams you're taking fell on in previous years. It's not perfect, but it oughta give you some estimate of when you'll be finished.

    Link to past exams: http://www.tcd.ie/Local/Exam_Papers/

    Hope that helps!

last year, the exam dates were published 28/03/
someone told me that 4th year (or finalists) students finish exams earlier because they get their results earlier too, any truth in that?

Unlikely, but still somebody's exam will be on the last day!
You could try talking to your departmen/school head they MIGHT be able to tell you whether it's gonna be on the last day or not.

i heard a member of staff say today that it might be that one exam will even be on the saturday after the official exam period this year.

Took CJTobins advice (thanks, useful and hadnt thought of it myself), and checked the link to estimate when they fell previously. reassured me a little bit as theyve always been well before finishing date, and as ive only 3 exams this year hopefully ill get lucky!
booked it anyway and am gonna hope that even if it is on the last day, that ill be able to get to the airport before 5! lol

wish they were able to release timetables earlier though, i know the SU are always trying for this but it just seems like such a simple thing that takes so bloody long!
