Are Aria Pro II guitars/basses a good competitor to Gibson and Fender?

I have often wondered if they are any good cause some of them are certainly priced that way, any opinions?

Some may say better (me included) :D

Which model Arias are you looking at? I'm the happy owner of three very nice Aria Pro II SB basses. I love the things...

    Japanese craftsmanship at its finest!

looking at pro II pe guitar, i know arias (not pro II) are even great guitars cause i have one, got it for less than 300 and it's worth way more than that, it's definetly better than the epiphone equivalant.

and i also know the basses are great but does anyone know if the guitars (pro II) ones are as good?

Yep, they're good too but it depends on the model and year. Which PE are you looking at? :)

oh sorry lol, i think it was the pe special but doesn't matter too much which one it is, once it's a great guitar

It's a nice guitar, wouldn't be their top of the range model but still nice. They're made in Korea by Samick I believe, or at least they were a few years ago.

If you want something drool worthy check out the PE-SUPRA.
I was gonna buy one last year but came across something else I really wanted.
May get one at some stage...

well i might not go for that one cause it has a kahler on it, really want a guitar without a locking nut and with a fixed bridge
