it depends on your budget really,i bought a pair of second hand beyerdynamic dt880 headphones from here second hand for 140euro(about 260euro new)and am very happy with them.it also depends on the type of headphones you want, closed, open, that type of thing.but with anything buy the best set that you can afford and they will stand to you.

    thanks for the reply.

to be honest i wasnt thinking of spending that much on them. was just thinking of getting something quite basic.

would i get anything half decent for 30/40 euro? or even less!?

    cheers

I bought a set of cans in Tescos ages ago for €24. Do the job fine. Long heavy chord, 8/3.5mm jacks and they cab be set to vibrate to emphasise bass without deafening you which is nice! :p
Also have Sienheisser in-ear wrap arounds that cost €50 but are the best sounding in-ear headphones I've ever used. Metal speaker cones so they can be used under water too if you like that sort of thing....... Not that I recommend playing guitar under water.... :p
