What the fcuk, that quote is mental no?

What type of license do you have, how long you been driving, any convictions or endorsements?

My brother has a Berlingo and I have just text him asking him how much it was to insure it. I cant remember the exact figure but it was nowhere near that anyway. Maybe a third of it.

The brothers insurance was 580 with a local broker.

driving 3 months, provisional, already have a car insured with them... 2450 im paying for my 1.4 306 so a 15 diesel van shouldn't be much more... its garaged alarmed and will get an aftermarket alarm.

    flippin mental it is.

its just the van would look more professional, aswell as the fact that you cant pick anyone up in my car as it Stinks of oil... i mean absolutely stinks...

Driving in minus conditions with all the windows down... :D

Thats an insane price I'm twenty with a full licence , a years claims free and I think it was 1200 for a 2.5 deisel.
Are you sure you they didnt quote you for private insurance on a van?

You sound like your a mechanic dont tell them this!! They'll screw ya......

there is one specialist broker that insures the trades, we insured with them when we started out, but with only 3 months on a prov i think you could get screwed over!

quotes can be reduced by voluntarily increasing your excess and not insuring your tools or parts in the van, unfortunately you need to tell them your specific trade as the assessors will find out anyway if you claim:mad:

Go onto quinn and get yourself quoted for van insurance, its much cheaper, I got a difference of about 500 euro between Car insurance and Van insurance for the exact same vehicle:eek:
