    hi folks
i am planing to head to salou at the end of may for a week its a place i never thought of going to but the child is 20 months old and a bit of a handful so the short flight is paramount plus they are cheap which is always good.
so was wondering can anyone recommend a decent hotel was told that la pineda was nicer than salou itself, and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    cheers

    Stay away from Salou itself.

Cap Salou or La Pineda are nicer.

Cap Salou has got some nice quiet beaches, frequented mostly by Spanish.

At night Cap salou has got a nice selection of restaurants and bars but nothing too hectic.
Regular bus services will take you to Salou, PortaVentura and Cambrils (nice for a meal or stroll at night)

You can also buy trips to Barcelona or Tarragona , leaving regularily.
If going to Tarragona, beware the pickpockets at the bus station.

I'll second bullpost - stay away from Salou. not a particular nice place, loud, garish, etc but Cap Salou nicer.
