Having returned from the international wilderness to at least nominally wrestle for a berth in Irish squads, London Irish totem Bob Casey was yesterday delivered the devastating news that his season is now over.

Casey has had on operation on his right biceps, which he damaged against Bath in February, a match he failed to finish, although he was surprisingly included in the extended Irish squad for last weekend's English match."

London Irish head coach Toby Booth is hopeful of a quick recovery. "We're hoping for a speedy recovery because he's our captain and the talisman of the team. He had an operation last week and it's probably going to be six weeks or so."

Very unlucky for BC, when he was forcing himself into contention for international selection. :(:(
