Right, I'm looking at my options for travel from Dublin to Cardiff. Leaving Fri 20 March and coming back Sun 22 March.

I'm open to bus/ferry, car/ferry, plane. There's 3 adults. It has to be as cheap as possible.

Here's what I've got so far but surely there has to be cheaper!

    ****************************************

    >> Ryanair
Don't fly to Cardiff! They fly to Bristol though. A bus from Bristol to Cardiff is about an hour.
Flights over €250 return with any combinaton of Friday / Saturday / Sunday that would make the match feasble.

    >> Aer Lingus
Return to Cardiff with any combination of Fri/Sat/Sun is over €400 each.

    >> Bus Eireann / Eurolines
€42.50 each single via Rosslare / Fishguard crossing. (10hrs from Dublin to Cardiff, arrive Cardiff 0330)
    No return bus on Sunday.

    >> Irish Ferries
Rosslare / Pembroke / Rosslare approx €280 return total
Dublin / Holyhead + Pembroke / Rosslare approx €250 return total

    >> Stena Line
Rosslare / Fishguard / Rosslare approx €310 return total

you could probably also get the bus from Bristol Airport to Temple Meads station in bristol and get train from there to cardiff as an option perhaps, the bus from the airport is cheap, 6 pound I think or something like that, not overly sure tho.

Flights to Bristol don't seem too cheap.

Current thinking is some return flights to Birmingham (45eur return each) and a bus / train to cardiff. Times aren't great though.

Been looking at AL to Birmingham actually. Flights not ideal. Allowing time for trains the flights are €155 and train is £30.

Ryanair €158 though. Which could work too.. every little helps.
