Athletics on TV

Just a suggestion here.

As I've got more and more into running my interest in the sport of Athletics at a professional level has grown too. I now take quite an interest in the sport and enjoy watching it on the TV any chance I get. The thing is its not like its rugby or cricket or golf or football that seem to be on 24 hours a day on sky sports...televised events can be few and far between and are easy to miss.

With that in mind I got the idea of this thread where people can post any upcoming events that are being televised. Ideally it would be great as a sticky but I know the stickies were tidied up recently because there was too much up there so its understandable if thats a non-starter.

I still think its a good thread to have around anyway for anybody interested.

I'll start the ball rolling....there's athletics on now on eurosport;)

The first big champs of the season is on this weekend, the Euro Indoors in Turin.

RTE will be showing a live web-stream of each 3 days without commentary (the cynical will say thats not a bad thing;)) and highlights each evening with commentary (the cynical will say thats a bad thing;)). BBC doing similar through their digital channel and I guess Eurosport will have it all, all weekend.

Also, on Saturday, OB Sport will show highlights from last weekends AAI Inter-Clubs Cross-Country in Santry.

This site is very good for finding live sport. Go onto it and click on the athletics link on the left hand side, it always has the most up to date info. Check it once or twice a week and you won't miss anything.

Thats a quality site.

Im a big sports fan in general so that will come in handy.


The problem with things like the radiotimes site or the sky site (which Ive been using up to now) is if it doesnt have athletics in the title it misses it. the above link seems pretty comprehensive though.
