Does anyone know when the UPC Series Link will be available? I'm sick of my Sky friends bragging that they dont look at TV schedules anymore, they just watch what they want, when they want.

According to UPC; Series Linking will be available end of Jan/start of Feb 2009....

So that leaves you with three options:
    1. Get new friends who don't have Sky+
    2. Get Sky+
    3. Wait and wait...and wait....and hope that UPC might eventually introduce the feature "SOON"

    Official reply from UPC
    Thank you for your query.

We'd like to begin by apologising for the delay in the launch of series link on our DVR platform. The software for series link was developed by European parent company, and has already been rolled out in several other countries. In Ireland, we have being going through a period of extensive testing in order to ensure we deliver the best possible customer experience. We hope to be conclude this testing and launch the series link functionality within the next month, along with some other exciting functionalities such as dual recording. The code that delivers these functionalities will be downloaded to your box automatically, and will be immediately evident. We will also announce the delivery of this code in the press. We thank you for your patience to date and hope that you'll be able to enjoy the enhanced options in the near future.

Our marketing materials are created well in advance of their delivery date, and it was our genuine expectation that the series link functionality would be available by the time we used the marketing material. As mentioned above, we expect that the functionality will be launched soon. We thank you for your patience to date and hope that you'll be able to enjoy the enhanced options in the near future"

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on our freephone number 1908 or email us on customer.support@upc.ie
    Kind regards

    Dear ,

    Thank you for your email.

Series Linking was supposed to be available from January but there has been a few delays. We are currently unsure as to when this feature will be available.

I do apologise for the vague answer but at the moment we have no timeframe.
