    Hi all,

I am hoping you can help me.

I am currently in the position where I am going back to work after a long spell and I have come upon my first dilemma. During my time at home I was blessed to have been given a beautiful dog "Truddie". She has been so used to having continuous company nealy 24 hours a day and I am beginning to worry as to how she will cope when I return to work.

My ideal situation would be to leave her with someone reliable while I am work and collect her in the evenings. I have heard of many companies who have provide these dog sitting/walking services in the Dublin area and I would like to get some feedback if I could from anyone who has have encountered them.

She is my pride and joy and I will be very particular as to who I will leave her with, so as much advice and guidance with this would greatly be appreciated. :)

I will look forward to hearing from you all.

    Many thanks.

check out dog training ireland's website, they do a Doggie Day Care.

I have left my little fella in there on a few occasions and he loves it.

We have a girl who comes in on a Tuesday and takes our 3 lunatics off to the park and they love her to bits - she runs a service called Doggy Nanny and is fully insured and qualified.

Then on a Friday we leave the dogs up to Dogs Training Ireland they have a creche facility and its great cause they get to spend the day up there and mix with other dogs and are ALWAYS shattered when they come home

Okay brilliant, I just want somewhere where she can go but the transition from being with me all the time to being with other dogs and other people is gradually introduced.

    Thanks for the advice!

My lad wasn't to impressed when we left him off first time, but after a few hours of play time with other dogs he was taken with it.

During the day they don't have time to be worried about their owners and will learn valuable socialisation skills and make new friends.

You can book in for a day or two a week and see how she gets on.
