Its ok if some people laugh at this because i know some will simply not understand, when i was down and lonely,i turned to the internet for comfort, then i started to use chatrooms/social sites and made some online friends,i was doing this for years, getting their numbers and such, but recently i came to my senses,it was great knowing them, but i rarely met them, and some to be honest coundnt give a damn about me,so in effort to start new life and have happiness,i ceased all contact,i often thaught we be more happier in human company instead of online stuff,i am doing this now, going out with some people i know from local town,so was it right in what i did?

You made the decision for you so of course you are right.Online communities can be great especially for special interests that not many people you know are into.Myself for example am a horror movie nerd and its hard to meet people that are into the same kinds of movies as me so there are a couple of sites I regularly post on to talk to like minded souls.Boards is similar in that virtually every hobby is catered for but with that being said, there is no substitute for regular human contact. So how are you finding the "real world" compared to your online amigos?

great,i think you get more like body/face expression with human contact, and yes i like boards too,i would post on other forums like this but, like as you i would have an intrest like you in a particular subject,i think forums like these are more easier since there is no photos or stories of whats going on in other peoples life, thank you for your reply means alot
