    Hey ya

I just bought a new sofa got it last week. and its doing exactly the same,
smells of burning wood and smoke, not sure what to do, heard it might be the scoth gaurding, or off -gassing. and it should go in time. but kind of worried its been a week and the smell is getting stronger.

It smells like a smouldering campfire. Really weird. It says the filling is "100% PU", which I assume means Polyurethane. What I want to know is - it this harmful? Or is this normal and will it go away? I've googled this but I'm still not sure about the weird odor.

    This is the exact chair:

Yeah I've just read some more and some people say to open a window for a while or use some fabreeze or something. This shouldn't happen tbh. I'm pretty annoyed.

i read up on it too, and an activated charcole blanket is what is recommended it will reduce the smell. But i dont know where to get one
of those. I am going nuts new apt, and now new sofa smelling the place out, cant sit in the same room as it let alone on it. I hope to god the smell goes away soon. if you get anymore info on it keep me posted, and likewise. Good luck
