I was wondering could i get some clarity on selling my jeep which was involved in a crash and the insurance has been claimed on. What wording do i give in the ad? Many parts of the vehicle would be useful and i presume it cannot be insured again so would i say for parts only etc. Thank you if you can help.

Has it been declared wrote off by the insurance company? If so afaik it can only be sold for parts.

What kind of Jeep is it?
Some are worth more for parts than others.

This is not even close to being true.

In the UK, there's classification of "write-offs" from stolen recovered with no damage, to cat A.
Cat's A and B are designated for scrap only, Cat C is signifigant damage, repairable but needs engineer's report before being put back on road. Cat D is often just bumper and minor body panel damage, but cost to repair > 65% of car's value.

Over here, a total write-off of a car, ie roof cut off by jaws of life etc is not recorded.
I've just done a cartell report, €35 one, on a car I owned that was a 100% write off in 2002. Car was sold, via insurance company, to a scrap dealer in co Cork. Car was back on the road within 6months of being in crash.

Did you buy it off the insurance company after they paid out for a total loss?
I would just advertise it for sale with alot of good pictures of whats damaged and whats not.
