Hello all - I am in a bit of a situation. I have to leave the house I am currently living in at the end of the month. I own 4 bikes ( 3 of which cannot sleep outside ) - i am happy in the area I am in, so the bikes wouldn't feel too stressed out with the move :pac:

Have you been in the situation before, looking for a house to share having to introduce yourself with ... 'Oh errr, by the way I own 7000 quid worth of bikes ... that need their own closet in the house' -

Even a balcony could work out for me I guess ... I can sleep there while they're in the bed.

Could you get a one bed apartment all to yourself and the wee ones?
rents are going down a lot.

I had the great idea to also put be through college and I am still paying the bills - meaning I am on a 550/month budget for another while. But yes that was thought off ...

A self-contained luck-up unit in one of those self-storage places??

they're climate controlled so the little ones should be snug enough there - but you wouldn't have ready and immediate access to them.

Probably have to be a ground floor one - they get broken into a lot (I speak from bitter experience!!)

Have to move myself in a month with 3 bikes in tow - D15 to your guess is as good as mine (at least the rents are getting better though).

Don't think I'll be mentioning it to anyone except the contents insurance people personally.

If storage is/becomes an issue I'd recommend this http://www.topeak.com/products/Storage/Dual-TouchBikeStand - gets two bike out of the way in anycase and doesn't need to be screwed into the wall or ceiling

Like-minded people might just multiply the number of bikes involved :) I am hardly one to talk but are you sure you need two Giant Boweries?

Very nice, but I'm not sure about their assertion that it "Looks great in the house....... "

Not to a non-cycling other half it wouldn't!!

Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be patient :) I have an online store and need a small storage space in North Dublin or similar, (I am located in N.Ireland). Also would like to get a Dublin phone number for the web site and then forward it to my northern tel, this would mean customers would only be paying the local call rate, and it works well with google ranking, (apparently).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bit off-topic for this thread, but I use Skype for this - set up a Skype account, get a Dublin SkypeIn number, configure Skype to forward calls to whatever number you like when you're offline, also configure it to auto-refill with credit. Not without problems, but it mostly works OK.

From a Techie I know:DONT USE SKYPE.Its evil.and by evil I mean evil in computer ways.
Now what was the original topic......oh yeah....sorrry Caroline cant help.

Skype have had huge problems with stopping people porting numbers. Blueface have been very good although a bit expensive, especially if you are in N.Ireland and used to the deals the normal UK companies offer.

As for storage, http://www.ustoreit.ie/ seem to be everywhere. Keeping seeing their signs in around me but I've never used them so can't comment.

Maxroam could be an option -lets you have a local number in a load of countries forwarding to a sim card you can use anywhere -Irish company too, so that's good :)
