Hey, I've had a misshap with my girlfriends dipstick... (no smart comments!)

It's a 02 Saxo, & the bottom of the dipstick's is plastic, in true french style, it broke!! I am in my nelly gonna pay €42 for a new one, so I wonder if someone who has a Saxo can measure the distance from the end of the metal on the dipstick to the end of the plastic & also from the bottom of the plastic to the lower oil level & the full oil level!!

I know the nights are still dark, damp & ****ty but if ya out in the garage checkin your oil, please take a second to jot down the measurements & report back!!

    Thanks in advance!

    I would.

But the exact same bit is broken on mine. Seems to be a running theme with them.

Hey guys I worked for Citroen for many years common fault so is gear stick bushings. The dipstick is made of plastic on most of the older models. Having that bit in the engine ent a problem at all will just sit in the sump.

Try a Peugeot 206 dipstick because Citroen and Peugeot use the same parts and they come out the same factory when you buy a Citroen part it has Peugeot on the packaging vise reverse er. I found Peugeot a lot cheaper on parts. I think its the 206 but check.

    Hope this helps.
