My name is Oisin, I’m 23, I’m a singer/guitarist/songwriter. I’m looking to put together a band of full time determined musicians with a view to making a real mark on the Irish music scene. I’ve an album worth of quality songs already written but would be interested collaborating with other musicians if possible.
I’m a fulltime highly experienced musician so I’m not interested in beginners or timewasters. I’m aiming to set up a band that goes beyond the standard guitar, bass, and drums format so all instruments (accept guitar) are welcome.
The emphasis of this band will be on high quality lyrics and strong catchy melody, played on real instruments by really good musicians that don’t feel the need to show off!

    My influences band wise are:

Death Cab For Cutie, Stars, Brand New, The Cure, Jimmy Eat World, Blood Red Shoes, Biffy Clyro,

    And Albums:

The national - boxer, Box Car Racer - Box Car Racer, The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream and Ador,
R.E.M - Automatic For The People, Whipping Boy - Heartworm, Joanna Newsom - Ys, Tegan And Sara - So Jealous, Neil Young - Harvest

If anyone is interested feel free to get in touch.

    All the best

    Oisin

    Hi Oisin,

How are you ? im 26 and have played in a band for the last 6 years....i also am a singer songwriter with the same ambitions as urself...i have posted a few similar adds on boards and havnt had any realy positive feedback from other musicians..i am currently looking for a singer/guitar player to write with and start up a new band with the ambition of making an impact on the irish music scene....to date i have recorded one studio album, the band i was in had a management deal but never realy got anywhere...mainly due to the fact that i was the only one writing no one else contributed at all...i have been looking to meet a similar type person/musician like myself who can write strong and catchy melody lines with big hooks and strong arrangments of music......

would love to hear some of ur music and chat about different ideas you may have and what direction you would like to go...

think theres a big market at the moment and indeed a big gap waiting for an irish band to make a mark on the music indutry here...

    Chris

Some interesting influences there! Where are you based?

    Hi Chris/ Oisin,

My name is Alan, I'm a 23 year old drummer, been playing for the past 6 years or so. I'm based North County Dublin but willing to travel for the right project.

As a drummer I'm into a lot of different music (anything from Tool to Stevie Wonder!)

I'm looking for a serious project but having a laugh also.

If you have any questions, drop me a reply & I will gladly answer them.

    Cheers,

    Alan
