Because he is *that* cool. :p Ever see the youtube video of his one-liners? Funny stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWS7c21jOnI
Jim Carey took the mick on the Letterman Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glvGfQnx3DI

That CSI van is always down in the Liosban Ind Est, the Gardai have some sort of sub-station down the back. You'd think they'd at least get a Transit, stick with the Ford theme.

saw it in mill street station for the last couple of days and tried really hard to look into the back of it (whilst still walking) to see what rediculously advanced technology they were using!

wonder has anybody done the same?

heard the gardai are getting millions of euro to turn the third floor of mill st into a night club styled csi lab like the tv series with rediculously hot investigators.

they have also stated that they will from now on only be investigating homicides of really good looking people that are killed at big elaborate parties in the most complex ways using only the coolest technology.

There is an overflow Garda office in the Liosbaun Industrial estate - it is based there it seems.

I wonder if the guy who drives it will do well at the CSI experience in the Galway Shopping Centre?

Maybe he could expense it as job training!!

    A) Never seen a real life Forensic's expert that looked like they could moonlight on a catwalk.
    B) They have image manipulation equipment that does the impossible. I.E. can pull up a hires photo of somones face off a CCTV image where the subjects head is about 16pixels tall)
    C) Scientific types aren't known for going around packing guns and kicking in doors.
    D) Labs don't have mood lighting.
    E) Fairly sure I saw a clip of CSI Orange with a holographic display "floating" in the middle of the room!?
    F) David whatshisface is an ejit.

    And that's MY CSI experience.

yeah I did, I even have my t shirt I bought on me right now!

It's quite easy but it's fun and a nice way to spend a couple of hours. You'll do each crime scene in about 30 - 45 mins!

I have'nt seen this van for yonks and I thought I saw it yesterday in the distance but can't be certain.
Can anyone confirm if it is still around?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,183 ✭✭✭Fey!

    It is.

None of the fancy American SUVs, though; just a lowly Hiace!

You'll often see it parked outside Ross House on Merchant's Road in the afternoons.

They actually get vans the same as us... CSI is about as realistic as Star Treck.
