Anyone know of a good place to get a good pair of golf trousers, either online or in Dublin? Could really do with a decent pair.

Depends on what you mean by a good pair.
I have pairs from Dunnes, M&S, McGuirks etc and they all do what I ask.

I find M&S are pretty good for casual trousers (Which is what I wear for golf).
What type are you looking for?

Yeah i know what you mean. Its hard to say what i want. I've got a light-coloured pair of cords that do the job but they're a bit on the baggy side. I guess i want a pair that are gonna fit well and aren't going to get wrecked the first time i wash 'em. U reckon take a look in M&S or dunnes?

M&S will cost more but be better quality, that said I have a pair from Dunnes that are 2 years old and still fine.

I got 2 pairs of Kartel Cords from McGuriks for €30 last month in the sale...need to get them taken up but they are grand.

I wouldnt go spending much money on them myself as long as they look nice and fit I dont need labels. I let my golf do the talking (unfortunately!)

Friend of mine picked up a few nice pairs of trousers in TKMAXX. Waterproof and all.

I picked up 3 pairs of Dunlop Chinos in Heatons today.
They were reduced to clear and cost me the obscene price of 4 euro per pair.:D

You're going to get what you paid for. Wait until they've had their 1st wash.

Yeah I'd say they will disintegrate in the wash just like all the stuff I've bought in Heatons disintegrated/exploded after 1 wash.

Is there anywhere in Dublin city centre that carries J.Lindberg trousers?

Reviving an old thread as I have the same question.

I was in Dundrum SC yesterday looking to get some new golf trousers.
There are plenty of places in Dundrum - from Penneys @ €11 right up to whatever you are prepared to pay for designer gear.

My problem is that I kinda hate them all - including those in the new Nevada Bob's section in Elverys.

I am looking for suggestions on what is more sportswear as opposed to what your grandad wears without costing a fortune.

    Any ideas?

Short answer, no. Only place you'll get JL golf gear in the country from what I've seen is McGuirks. They had a really good sale just at xmas, troon trousers going for 50e a pair. Good as you'll get for JL, but deal over now and don't know if they've plans to get new stock in anytime soon..they don't sell JL online anymore and they did up until about a month ago.

Casual JL gear available in House Of Fraser in Dundrum the last time I checked but that was a while ago now..

pretty wide fit and are in great nick considering the washes they've gone through, waterproof and kinda half way beteen a normal pair of trousers and a good quality pair of wet gear bottoms

I have a pair of them as well (I think they are called Ping Ionic), porbably the best golf purchase I have ever made. Warm in winter and no need to change into wet gear bottoms. I've been trawling the web for the last while trying to get another pair but they are near impossible to get now (well in my size anyway)

OP, you could try e-bay, I got a pair of addidas pocket patch for €45 just before Christmas.

    Check out www.tailor4less.com

They do custom trousers from 59eur. You can get them any size you want and have a big selection of fabrics (winter /summer ones) etc. Haven't used them myself but service looks cool.

Do they release your measurement info beforehand or do you have to place an order?

Honestly not sure Whyner. Have to wait for some extra sponds before trying out
