I drive a Peugot 206 and recently when I put it into first gear it seems extremely stiff but if I take it out of gear then put it back in it goes in very easliy. The engine seems to make a noise as well when after driving in fourth or fifth gear then I slow down to second gear the engine seems to buzz.

This happened to my old car a Seat. I ended up having to get a new clutch.

The year is 02 and it has 59k on it. Recently only got the water bottle, timing belt, oil change etc.

Are you starting to get strange burning sweet oudour?
Forget about 1st.Put the car into 2nd and slowly let the clutch out (take you foot off the clutch slowly) If you can take your foot off the clutch completly and the car DOES NOT CUT OUT then you need a new new clutch.
If it does cut out check you brake/clutch fluid reservoir if may need to be topped up or changed
