With Bono stating that if the new album isn't their best to date then U2 are irrelevant, I am just wondering if No Line on the Horizon has become anyones favourite, and if not what is your, favourite U2 album?

Hmm haven't heard the new one yet. Haven't listened to any of their albums before "The Joshua Tree" either (will get to them eventually)

Of those I know, "The Joshua Tree" would probably be my favourite.
    Then "Rattle & Hum".

Weakest is probably "All That You Can't Leave Behind".

Haven't heard all of their first three albums or the new one but of the one's inbetween Achtung Baby is the best followed by The Joshua Tree. Zooropa is under rated and is probably their third best. About a third of Pop is great but the rest of it but the rest of it isn't much.

Achtung Baby is their best album.
All of the 12 songs on it are high quality and most of them are classics.
    Its a masterpiece .

No Line on the Horizon is a very average album nowhere near their best.
It has 4-5 decent songs but the rest are sub par despite a valiant effort.

Achtung Baby and The Joshua Tree are pretty good. The rest are all complete ****e,especially the last two albums. My ears wanted to commit suicide after listening to No Line on the Horizon.

Achtung Baby for me, by far their best.
Zooropa has their best song - Stay (Faraway, So Close)
Last few albums have gotten progressively worse imo, not sure i'll bother buying new album at all.

My favourite would have to be any U2 album soaked in petrol and set on fire. :D

Unlike the vast majority, Boy would be my favourite. And then it would be all their older albums i.e. War, October, Unforgetable Fire, Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum (in no particular order).
