Just wondering does anyone know should we get part of our deposit back if the rent has been reduced for the property?

I know there's a cluase in the contract saying the deposit is the sum of a months rent. (at all times, not 100% if that bits in it)

No, the deposit does not get part refunded if the rent is reduced.

You get back the amount you handed over, assuming you are entitled to the full deposit.

Thats ok so. We where just wondering because of the clause.

Unless they can take part of the deposit for a dirty carpet then we're safe enough so far for getting the full deposit back.
