What am I going to do with my car??

I have a 1996 Ford Fiesta Encore for sale. It's UK registered and has been sitting up North for a while now as I recently moved to Dublin and bought a new car.

When I bought the Fiesta, the previous owner sent off the change of ownership form, but it got lost in the post so I now don't have one.

To top things off, the car has no MoT / NCT or tax now!!

Should I scrap the car or is there somewhere I could take it to be sold for parts?? Obviously i would like to make a few bob on it if possible!

Its a great running car and the exterior is in pretty good nick so would be a shame to crush it

    All ideas welcome!!!

Phone the DVLA offices. You should be able to get the docs for it. If not, try driving by a few speed cameras. The former owner wont be long about changing the docs again.

thanks a mill - the previous owner was my brother so I don't want to be getting him into any hassle! he sent the forms off but they got lost in the post, we think!

think it would prob be best to sell it for parts

If its your brother it will be easy!

Tell him to apply for replacement documents (V5). When they come, take them off him and do the change of ownership yourself.

I reckon that car (if its in as good a condition as you say it is) is worth more to sell it rather than parts. There's a good market for the small cheap stuff these days.

cheers for that - I'll speak to him about it anyway as there may be issues with it in the North as its UK registered but its not taxed or MoT'ed at the minute, so it might not be worth the expense of all that

If anyone knows of anybody who buys parts etc in the dublin area can they please let me know!
