Its been a long time since I've used the M50 in the morn... thinking about moving back to the folks place for a while which means comming from Clondalking to Baldoyle in the morn...

Anyone do a similar trip?? Gotta be in work for around 8.30 so just wondering how long ye think it would take.. Have no idea what the traffic is like on it now, last time I used it in the morns was well before they started the upgrade..

Chock a block from Lucan to Airport Northbound at 7.30 and anything can happen.

Arse... Bring back the days when I used to get from clondalking to finglas in 15 mins in the mornings.. Mind u, that was 5 yrs ago

Well its either and hour or so in traffic or staying in the mother in laws and waking up to 4 grandkids crying n screaming but only having a 10 min drive to work.. Man its a though one.

Why not stay one or two nights and see what traffic is like? You'll get a pretty good idea. Leave extra early one morning, and a bit later the next morning.

I don't have the same route, but if I leave the house at 8:05 I'll get to work 15 minutes early, if I leave at 8:10, I'll get to work late.

    huh? really?

did lucan to swords in 30 mins and that was leaving at 0830.

I suppose it all depends on how happy you are filtering. I'd be quite cautious myself, and let a couple of bikes past me, there seems to be nothing from the toll bridge as far as ballymun now that the lanes are open.

Generally its busy south bound around the finglas junction and from ballymount to the end of the M50.

Northbound its usually sticky from either blanch or finglas to the M1. Depends on the morning tho.

Its not so much the time it takes that annoys me....without traffic I get from Swords to Clondalkin in 25 mins....with it takes about 35 mins.

But its just a pain in the butt filtering for kms on end...not to mention dangerous.

you shouldn't really be complaining about a 10 minute increase in journey time. Car commuters will be jealous! Of course that is a 30 odd percent increase :D
I also add a significant percentage to my commute if i get petrol. And putting gear on also...
