I have a Ravelle but I never considered getting the sustainer model. It all seems a bit gimmicky to me really. From what I've read, the Sustainer sounds like krud when you use it as a regular pickup. And there's no way of making it truly passive. The battery is always sapped while you have the cable in, regardless of whether you use it or not.

Its the carving lumps out of the body to make it fit that id would be worried about tbh.

Ed O Brien from Radiohead does wonderful things with a Fernandes Sustainer.

yes thats the main hassle, getting extra cavaties for it and the battery too, then the switches to turn it on and set the setting, more drillin and wiring... its just hassle and expensive

get a fernandes revolver pro or a jackson with one already built in much easier and probably the same cost of instaling it, i know a guy who got it installed on his rg, and it evded up costing over 200eu for it, then it broke, fun times, mroe $$ for a repair

its not jsut a case of throwing one in, theres some work goin on too
