Im thinking of going to Tallin for a weekend next month.. Is there much to do there? Much to see? Is it expensive for shopping etc?

well, what made you want to go? I don't know much about it. Ask lonely planet or google.

Plenty to do and see for a weekend. Its very inexpensive, cheap hotels and cheap beer.
Would recommend doing one of the organised cycle tours, think it was called the 'funky bicycle tour' and it went very offtrack, through old cemetries, army barracks, even into a WW2 submarine, as well as the more normal touristy sights.

The Old City is really beautiful and unspoiled. The guided tour from the Tourist Office is well worth doing. Eating and drinking is cheap - except around the town square. We ate in a bar called Hell Hunt (hellhound) which was very good, and in a restaurant called Olde Hansa - which was meant to be an authentic medieval dining experience - good fun.

Estonians aren't particularly friendly and a bit gruff. There's a lot of tension between the Estonians and the Russians.

Overall a great place to visit.
