Oh, sweet merciful $Deity, that looks awful. My opinion is coloured by having grown up watching the 80s cartoon adaptation in its uncensored Spanish form and, well, that film looks to have absolutely none of the charm that the series has. (I've had a look at the manga before, but not in any depth - I can only imagine that any fans of it will vomit blood if they watch this trailer...)

There's a reason why Dragonball Z has not been made in live action before... it's not grounded anywhere near reality!

And while I have never even seen an episode of Dragonball Z, I still feel somewhat insulted that this rubbish is getting made.

Advent Children style,if anything,would have been the way to go. Actually,screw a movie,a plot,actors. Someone just make me an hour long fight between Goku and a villain in Advent Children format. I'll give you a tenner for it.

The problem is that Dragonball Z was basically bad voice acting and over-long drawn-out fight sequences; the original Dragon Ball series was great, but is impossible to find legally and in any case the English translation was edited and censored due to puritanical idiots in the US not understanding some of the humour

The film looks like all kinds of cack though. I won't be going anywhere near it.

I think it looks absolutely dire. I'm only going to go and have a look at it to bring back some nice childhood memories..... Probably won't do it justice but you never know. May be proven wrong.
